On Sunday August 5 the WPB commemorated Hiroshima and Nagasaki 73 years after the atomic bombing  of the two cities in Japan. Our message is never again. The bell was rung by Christchurch mayor, Lianne Dalziel, at 11.16 am, the time of the Hiroshima bomb. World Peace Bells in Canberra and Cowra, in Australia were rung in unison.
